Buying an Authentic Chanel handbag

When buying designer handbags, nobody likes to go in for the fake ones or the replica ones. Others can easily make out the difference between an original bag and a fake bag, and so people want to ensure that they do not get embarrassed in public because of carrying a fake bag. Most people prefer buying original and authentic designer handbags. However, doing this is not as easy as it sounds.
The fake and replica bags market is expanding very fast, and while there are many women who prefer to buy only original and authentic bags, there is also a major chunk of women who want to save money and go in for the fake ones. Plus, the fake market is now such a big business of fooling people that manufacturers of fake bags very cleverly manage to create bags which look exactly the same as original ones. Some have mastered the art so well, that you can’t differentiate at all between a fake bag, and an authentic bag. This is even more applicable in the case of the brand Chanel, because Chanel handbags are a lot in demand.
Therefore, it becomes important for everyone to know some basics of buying an authentic bag, to save yourself from being fooled and cheated. First and foremost, it is always good to go and shop from the brand’s own showroom. This automatically ensures that you are buying authentic and good quality products. If there are no showrooms near your area, then do not get yourself in the trap laid by many dealers. Areas which have less or no designer brands showrooms have dealers who claim that they are affiliated to the original brand and are selling authentic stuff. But these dealers are the ones who are actually fraud and are manufacturers of the fake bags. Beware of them.
Prefer online shopping instead. Go to the Chanel online store on the official website of Chanel, and you will find all your favourite bags there. You can easily select your items and have them delivered to your house. Then again, if you are looking for great discounts, you may find many other websites on the internet that have original and authentic bags for sale. You can browse through the bags on any of these websites, and avail great offers. An authenticity code and seal is often carried by these websites on their homepage, and one must look out for them to ensure quality and reliability.

Selling Designer Bags or Brandname Items on Ebay, Is Like building your Business on Quick Sand!

Selling Designer handbags on eBay has become a real challenge in search of a better word!
The Ebay’s Vero Programme which was initially intended to Protect buyers or so we assumed, has now become a ‘Weapon’ to be used against Sellers by malicious buyers and competitors!

It doesn’t even matter anymore if the item you are selling is real or fake; Your auction is at the mercy of ‘vero police’ whim or fancy or maybe even some buyer who just think that your item “doesn’t look real”.

There is no real concern for the eBay seller as there is no system in place to state your case or protest your innocence!
I have visited sites where member has made it their business to find and improve the ways of reporting a listing that assume is “fake”
No consideration is given to what if they got it wrong? What are the consequence for the seller?
I am taking away someone’s bread and butter?

I have read countless stories online of people who have become victims of those who supposedly think they are doing good!
Honest people who have worked hard to build up their reputations, people who have given up their full time jobs and depend solely on their Ebay business to feed their families.

I would never suggest or endorse that the Ebay Vero system be abolished thus giving a free run for the unscrupulous to scam to take of advantage of innocent online shoppers, not at all!
My question is what system is there in place to protect honest, hard working sellers?

What about implementing a system to protect Ebay Sellers as well, so they can have their “day in court” so to speak, to prove their innocence.
For those “replica designer Bags Bounty Hunters” out there, here a few questions to ask your selves;
If you are going to report a listing are you 100% sure the item is fake?
What are your motives? Is it just malicious?
If you are wrong how does your action affect the person wronged?
If the seller’s accounts get suspended from Ebay and it was their business how will they survive?

How To Care For Your Chanel Bag

How to care for your Chanel Bag
By Annieth Wollery

How to care for your Chanel Bag

Chanel carefully selects leather of the leather of the finest quality. It is integrally dyed to keep it soft and natural-looking (surface-dyeing hardens leather and gives a plastic-like appearance).

To preserve the beauty of your handbag for as long as possible. you should take the following precautions.

1. Always put it away upright, in the original felt case/box or bag (if you have it) If don’t have the original storage items, use another bag or box for storage. Pad the chanel bag with tissue paper to keep the shape. Make sure that the chains are not in contact with the outside of the bag as they may mark the leather. The simplest thing is to put them inside the handbag, in the tissue paper.

2. Do not over-fill your handbag, as this might spoil the shape irreparably, and strain the chain fasteners, zips and clasps.

3. The metal parts of your handbag are gilded with an alloy containing 24-carat gold, which is sometimes sensitive to sea air and the acidity of the skin, and may eventually wear off.
Clasps, chains ans other metal parts can be re-guided. Ask at a CHANEL boutique for an estimate.

4. The tanning methods used by CHANEL keep the leather soft so that the surface remains alive and permeable. Avoid contact with water, grease, perfume and makeup.

5. Do not clean with products intended for other purposes, such as polish, turpentine, oil, spot removers, spirit or solvents.

6. Light-colored chanel handbags, particularly white and beige, are very vulnerable to dust and marks. bad stains are practically impossible to remove.

7. White Chanel Handbags are extremely sensitive to light, and the leather will turn yellow if is is exposed for too long to spotlights, fluorescent lamps, etc.

8. You can polish the leather gently a natural-colored soft woolen cloth. Do not rub with rough or abrasive materials.

9. If your handbag gets wet, do not wipe it but absorb the water by patting gently with a fine woollen cloth.

10. Greasy marks can be removed with unscented talcum. Sprinkle on the mark, leave overnight and brush off gently with a perfectly clean makeup brush.

11. Minor scratches can be rubbed off with a clean. dry finger. Press gently, with a circular movement. The finger should be free of any grease or moisture.

12. Do not attempt to repair more serious damage yourself. Consult a CHANEL Boutique or a good leather dealer.

Natural leather is one of the few materials which improve with age, acquiring a patina which enhances its appearance. If you treat your CHANEL handbag with the care which it deserves, you can enjoy using it for many years to come………… :)

Can Kiwi Shoe Polish Protect Vintage Designer Leather Jackets & Coats?

Can Kiwi Shoe Polish Protect Vintage Designer Leather Jackets & Coats?

To be able to afford them is one thing and to know how to take care of them is quite another!Vintage designer leather jackets & coats are generally considered to be very expensive items and therefore they require special care. We should remember that vintage designer leather jackets & coats in our wardrobe may give us an identity that is different from others because of their cuts and the way they fit on our bodies. But at the same time vintage designer leather jackets or coats that have stains or blots can create a very bad impression.

So that they make a good impression when word and gives you a good feeling and lasts you a lifetime, if not more… I am not joking. If you knit a sweater that your son can wear will be vintage. And this is possible only when you have the patience and know technique to do it.

Here are a few tips to protect your vintage designer leather goods from deteriorating or fading.

Always apply superior quality water and stain repellent product before wearing your vintage designer leather jackets when it’s raining or snowing. Such products should always be handy and should be replaced as per their expiry date. If you spray an old repellent, it can create a stain of its own instead of taking care of your designer jacket against rains and snow. Use the formulas that are free from wax and silicon. These ingredients work against the natural oil that leather has of it’s own.

When you are trying any new product on your leather to protect it and give it longer life, always try it on a small area that is not generally visible obviously. So that it the product turns out fake or not what you want you don’t end up spoiling the whole jacket.

When you are wearing vintage designer leather jacket after a long time and it needs to be softened before use, use fine quality moisturizing lotion. Don’t use such lotions on suede leather. Such lotions are not multipurpose that can be used for all kinds of leather. Unless written in the instructions don’t use it on anything other than what it is meant for.

While you repair the hem of your vintage designer leather jacket use adhesive cement of standard quality. Don’t attach pins to your leather coats or jackets.

When you are wearing vintage designer leather coats or jackets don’t use hair spray, or spray perfumes on your jacket. It may stain the jacket and such stains once exposed to air become difficult to remove.

If your leather has become wet allow it to dry in room temperature. Don’t ever make a mistake of using dryer. If your leather or suede jacket has fine fur and it gets wet. Use hair dryer at the lowest temperature to dry the fur.
